The Promises of God in times of Anxiety

One of the great tragedies of our Christian life is the false teachings that we have received concerning anxiety/worry. We all know that worry is a sin and we do not want to be practitioners of sin.

With this understanding many of us have also been taught that “if we were really saved, we would never worry.” That my brothers and sisters is one of Satan’s methods for keeping the Believer paralyzed.

If God did not know that His beloved children would worry, why did He give us so many promises in His Word, that are to give us comfort and direction when we worry?

Here is a list of some of those promises, it is not a complete list however, I pray that it will serve as a reminder to all of us, that God truly knows!

·         Matthew 11:28-30

Father, please use these verses to free your children from the bondage that we have been placed under because of a false teaching that we may have received concerning worry. As we confess that we do worry, we also confess that we desire to trust you more and more each day and in every circumstance, in Jesus name we pray. Amen!
