Class Purpose: A Treasure Hunt!

The focus of Max Lucado's book - Traveling Light, is to give us some suggestions on how we may eliminate some of the unnecessary baggage that we all carry. He also names some of that baggage and demonstrates why we have it. His comments on the cover of the book sums it up perfectly, "Releasing the burdens you were never intended to bear. The promise of Psalm 23."

We will engage in a treasure hunt! We will be seeking to find the deeper truth that is embedded in that awesome psalm that we all know so well. We will discover why this is necessary as we prepare ourselves to continue our journey with the Lord.

Our ultimate goal is to be equipped to live John 8:36...."If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed." (KJV)
